The 150th Anniversary Parade & Party begins at 2pm at the Concord Town House steps (22 Monument Street) with proclamations by local and state officials, and a re-enactment of excerpts from Ralph Waldo Emerson’s original Library dedication speech. Celebrants will then parade to the Main Library, joined by the Concord Minutemen.
On the Library lawn will be a keynote address by John Palfrey, author of Bibliotech: Why Libraries Matter More Than Ever in the Age of Google, as well as cake, music by the CCHS pep band, and activities for all ages.
